Details:
The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from Monday morning through Monday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Knox, Cedar, Thurston, Antelope, Pierce,
Wayne, Boone, Madison, Stanton, Cuming, Burt, Platte, Monona,
Colfax, Dodge, Washington, Butler, Saunders, Douglas, Sarpy,
Harrison, Shelby, Seward, Lancaster, Cass, Otoe,
Pottawattamie, Mills, Montgomery, Fremont, and Page Counties.

* TIMING...From 10 AM Monday morning through 8 PM Monday evening.

* WINDS...In the late morning hours, sustained Southwest winds 15
to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph. In the afternoon, west winds
sustained 15 to 25 mph with gusts 25 to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 16 percent across the entire
area.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning should be avoided.

are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings. Take precautions to prevent sparks. Very
carefully monitor any smoldering burns from previous days to
prevent re-ignition.

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations two
to five inches possible. Winds could frequently gust 50 to 60 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Iowa and east
central, northeast, and southeast Nebraska.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
blowing snow, with whiteout conditions possible at times. The
strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines
and could cause sporadic power outages.
