...ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION SATURDAY...
.A low pressure system moving into the region later tonight and
Saturday will bring a variety of winter weather to our area.
Freezing drizzle, light freezing rain and some light snow should
develop late tonight and Saturday morning in areas near and south
of Interstate 80. At the same time, snow is forecast to begin in
northeast Nebraska. Freezing drizzle is likely to mix with and
change to snow Saturday afternoon in the rest of eastern Nebraska
and southwest Iowa. Areas along and about 30 miles either side of
Interstate 80 could see around a tenth of an inch of ice
accumulation and 1 to 3 inches of snow.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 6 PM
CST SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of
1 to 3 inches, with localized amounts up to 4 inches, and ice
accumulations of around one tenth of an inch are expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Nebraska and
southwest Iowa.
* WHEN...From 3 AM to 6 PM CST Saturday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in difficult travel
conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
