...ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION TODAY...
.A low pressure system moving into the region today will bring a
variety of winter weather to our area. Freezing rain and freezing
drizzle was already occurring in southeast Nebraska and southwest
Iowa, and will spread north through the morning. Meanwhile mainly
snow was noted in western and central Nebraska, which will spread
northeast across northeast Nebraska through the day. Snow total
there will likely reach 3 inches in most spots. After freezing
precipitation during the morning near and a 40 miles north and
south of Interstate 80, a mix with or change to snow is expected
in the afternoon. Ice accumulation of a tenth to two tenths is
possible, with snow possibly reaching an inch of accumulation
before the precipitation moves off to the east by early evening.
