...ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION SATURDAY...
.A low pressure system moving into the region later tonight and
Saturday will bring a variety of winter weather to our area.
Freezing drizzle, light freezing rain or flurries should develop
late tonight and Saturday morning in areas near and south of
Interstate 80. At the same time, snow is forecast to begin in
northeast Nebraska where up to 6 inches of accumulation could fall
by late Saturday afternoon. Freezing drizzle is likely to change
to snow Saturday afternoon in the rest of eastern Nebraska and
southwest Iowa. Areas along and about 30 miles either side of
Interstate 80 could see over a tenth of an inch of ice
accumulation and up to 2 inches of snow.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 6 PM
CST SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations
of up to 2 inches, with localized amounts up to 4 inches, and
ice accumulations of one tenth to two tenths of an inch are
expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Nebraska and
southwest Iowa.
* WHEN...From 3 AM to 6 PM CST Saturday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in difficult travel
conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
